Campfire is a Christian Camping experience for youth living in Colombia. Through LAM Canada and the Doulos Foundation, Campfire’s goal is to connect and mobilize youth from all different social status, cities, and church denominations, to someday create and international and diverse network of youth leaders. Campfire runs two main programs: one for adolescents aged 12-17, and another for adults aged 18-30. Each program is completely in English, and involves a diverse mix of games, team challenges, community building, and bible study. Participants come from all walks of life, and all levels of English. In Campfire, these participants can immerse themselves in English for a weekend, as if they were in a North American camp, and experience Jesus outside the normal context of their communities and families. We hope to reach children and youth, along with their families, with the good news of hope and salvation through a relationship with Jesus, and to disciple and inspire young leaders to go back to their communities and continue to serve. Campfire is pleased to offer scholarships for each of our programs, through the generosity of people like you, to bring youth from under-resources contexts and refugees to participate in Campfire. It is our deep desire not to allow money to be a barrier to anyone’s participation.

REACH: Leadership skills in a cross-cultural context | For Canadian youth entering grade 12 and/or post-secondary school or work.  

REACH is a Campfire program designed to expose and challenge participants in their understanding of Christian leadership in a cross-cultural context. The program focus is on gaining a sociological and theological understanding of our responsibility as Christ-followers in helping to alleviate poverty. This program involves Canadian and Colombian participants working and learning together to achieve a fuller picture of Christ’s work on earth. We are partnering with Camp IAWAH to help manage the Canadian-side of this program, including Canadian participant applications.

• How do we help to bridge that gap without hurting others or ourselves?
