Hernán and Rosa Bravo

Hernán and Rosa Bravo

In the year 1988, God called Hernán and Rosa to serve as missionaries in their own country, to plant churches in places where the Gospel had not been preached. As of 2015, they have planted 3 churches and supported leaders and pastors to start 36 new churches in the Colombian Caribbean Coast and 4 in Venezuela.

Due to years of civil conflict in Colombia, more than four million people have been displaced from their homes and lands, and forced to live in extreme conditions of poverty. Hernán and Rosa have complemented the work of planting churches with development projects: programs in health, education and small loans for micro enterprises. Hernán is a dentist who specializes in managing social projects, and Rosa has a Masters Degree in Social Development.

They are currently coordinating a project that provides food to 150 children in Maracaibo, Venezuela, and provide basic delivery kits to pregnant women. They also run an online training in project and organizational management and biblical counselling for leaders and pastors.

Will you join Latin America Mission in providing Leadership Training for the growing Indigenous Church in Colombia?

The Wayuu people group is the largest indigenous group in Colombia with approximately 400,000 inhabitants. This tribe remained very indifferent to the gospel until 4 years ago, when God began to work powerfully among them, drawing many of them to Christ. Today there are at least 10 small villages (rancherias) where new believers gather to worship God and learn about the Bible.

We are currently working to raise $14,650 to enable Hernán and Rosa Bravo and their team of missionaries to visit 10 villages in the fall of 2025, with the intention of training and equipping 480 leaders who will support and grow the church in each village. Would you make a donation to support this project, pray for this project or meet with our Executive Director to discuss this project more?

We appreciate your support of our ministry and would welcome the opportunity to meet and further discuss any questions you may have.  Thank you for your consideration.
