Many new and interesting things have happened that fill our hearts with joy. We have new opportunities to do ministry, new relationships, and additional training for our leaders.

In March we had the opportunity to start a training process on “Outdoor Leadership,” part of a course that will last for two years. Together with the support of the Nexus International organization (https://www.nexusinternational.org/) our volunteers and other local leaders will be trained in the importance of outdoor activities. We will teach how to use time outdoors for personal growth and as a team to develop a more effective youth ministry.

One weekend we had the opportunity to meditate on Psalm 1 and Jeremiah 17:7,8, remembering how our time along with God, meditating on his word and praying are the most important time of our day. We learned that the most important focus is to deepen our roots in an intimate relationship with Christ.

We also had two opportunities to talk with couples in our ministry, sharing how to create a “Family Ministry Vision.” This was a good time to think about how we serve together as a couple. We went camping during Holy Week, taking advantage of the fact that the young people had a week without classes due to the religious holiday. In the camp we went through Bible Studies, sharing experiences about “How to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, strength and our neighbour as ourselves.” Matthew 22:37-40.

Camping was a new experience for all the young people. They loved the sense of adventure and freedom as well as the opportunity to push their physical and mental limits to a higher level. For us as a couple, it was an opportunity to show God’s love toward them through serving and caring for them. In addition, we were all reminded that Christ died on the cross as a payment for sin and now he wants a deep relationship with all of us.

As a result of the series of studies and devotionals on “Loving God,” three girls affirmed and confirmed their faith in Christ, recognizing him as their only Savior and ensuring their eternal life with Christ. Glory to God. The Lord worked in their hearts and now they are saved. We trust that the work of Christ in the lives of the boys will become more and more evident.
