Honduras Relief Project

The purpose of this project is to provide food to families affected by the Covid-19 crisis. Many families have been unable to go out to work and earn their daily income, especially in remote villages. Local support is limited and aid does not reach everywhere. A "basic food basket" allows a family of 5 people, 2 adults and 3 children to feed themselves or "survive" for at least 2 weeks. All beneficiary families normally work day by day to purchase their c daily food. With the Covid-19 crisis they can no longer get out, they cannot work, that way they cannot buy food. The basket will allow them to go without food for at least the 2 weeks of total isolation the authorities have ordered.

El propósito de este proyecto es proveer alimento a familias afectadas la crisis del Covid-19. Muchas familias no han podido salir a trabajar y obtener su ingreso diario, especialmente en las aldeas lejanas. El apoyo local es limitado y la ayuda no llega. Una "canasta básica de comida" permite que una familia de 5 personas, 2 adultos 3 niños puedan alimentarse "sobrevivir" por al menos 2 semanas. Todas las familias beneficiarias normalmente trabajan día a día para lograr conseguir el alimento diario. Con la crisis ya no pueden salir, no pueden trabajar, de esa forma no tiene para alimentarse. La canasta les permitirá sobrevivir al menos por las siguientes 2 semanas de cierre total de la ciudad que las autoridades han impuesto.
