Nehemias and Noemi Guillen, and their two young daughters, Keren and Keila, are from the Dominican Republic. They are now living in southern Ontario and will be joining LAM missionaries Joel and Mairee Garcia and Joe and Marg Nesci in their ongoing ministry to Spanish-speaking migrant workers. As this LAM ministry continues to expand, we welcome the help Pastor Nehemias can provide as a gifted worship leader and pastor. Pastor Nehemias has served in various pastoral roles in congregations in the Dominican Republic and Canada since 2012.

Both Nehemias and Noemi have shared a passion for worship and praise since their teen years. Recently they recorded a musical project together under the name of “Quiero tu luz”, which is available on various digital music platforms. Their shared mission is to guide others to Christ through song – giving by grace what they have received by grace.

Pastor Nehemias looks forward to his new role in LAM’s outreach ministry to migrant workers on various fruit and vegetable farms in the Greater Toronto Area, coming alongside some of the many thousands of workers who leave their homes in Mexico or other Central American countries for up to nine months a year, a sacrifice they make to support their families in their home countries. In addition to leading worship times, Pastor Nehemias hopes to establish worship teams on the farms by teaching interested workers how to play an instrument and how to lead a worship gathering. His ministry will also include creating and developing a space where Spanish-speaking workers can share their experiences with each other and develop a support network.
